Sometimes natural colours are just not strong enough to give that added oomph to the final product and that’s where artificial colours come into their own. A little goes a long way and the colour is a lot more stable in temperature and varying pH levels so won’t fade as time goes on.

The range of artificial colours we have available are both water soluble (dye) and insoluble (lake) forms. We are able to supply a full range of artificial colours both in granular as well as powder form. Lake dyes are available in powder form or as a dispersion.

Hibiscus Solutions are familiar with the New Zealand regulations surrounding artificial colours. We follow the Food Standards Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ) code, as a guide to what constitutes an Artificial colour.

If you have any queries regarding what colour would best suit your application please don’t hesitate to contact Ann who is our Technical Sales Manager. She has a background in Food Science so will be able to assist you where necessary.
